I have to track down the genealogy of this book. Ding is said to have worked for eight years on this book, but Oda's book was only published in 1917. Perhaps this refers to volumes of Ding's work being published over several years. There is also an older dictionary entitled 佛敎大辭典 written by Shinkō Mochizuki 望月信亨 and published in 3 fascicles 1909 - 1916.
