This is a collaborative project hosted by Dharma Drum Buddhist College that gathers information on topics related to Buddhism in China between 1850 and 1950 CE. The Wǔchāng Buddhist Seminary 武昌佛學院: Founded by Tàixū 太虛 and others in 1922, this was the first "Buddhist Seminary" 佛學院 so called. It was one of the more important modern Buddhists schools in China in the 1920s, and it trained many of the ordained Buddhist thinkers that rose to prominence in the first half of the 20th century.
