Chán zōng 禪宗 is one of China's Major Buddhist Schools.

Many individuals, institutions, and periodicals were involved in the practice and transmission of Chán during the Republican Period. Below is a list of the people and temples who were most strongly connected to Republican Chán, along with some general secondary studies that touch on Chán during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
