This file has been created in the project "A Digital Comparative Edition of the Bieyi za ahan jing" conducted at the Chung-hwa Institute for Buddhist Studies 中華佛學研究所 and the Dharma Drum Buddhist College 法鼓佛教研修學院. The project is funded by the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation for International Scholarly Exchange 蔣經國國際學術交流基金會. The aim of the project is to produce a comparative digital edition and partial translation of the 364 sutras of the BZA and their parallels. The texts are kept in single files in an eXist database and are realized via XQuery and XSLT as HTML for the online user. The project lasts from 2005-2008. 爾時尊者
時有梵志,名曰
汝以何事於彼沙門瞿曇法中出家學道?
阿難答言:
我今為欲斷惡生善。以是義故,於佛法中出家學道。
梵志
斷何等惡?
阿難答言:
我今欲為斷除貪欲、瞋恚、愚癡。
梵志復言:
汝等亦知斷除貪欲、瞋恚、
癡耶? 癡 愚癡
阿難答曰:
唯佛法中有斷如是貪欲、瞋恚、愚癡之法,禁制身心。
梵志又言:
如此貪欲、瞋恚、愚癡有何過患?汝等法中禁制之耶?
阿難對曰:
欲愛、染著能生惱亂,於現在世增長
惡法。憂、悲、苦惱由之而生。未來世中亦復如是。瞋恚所著,愚癡所著,能壞 惡法 諸惡 己心,亦壞他心,自他俱惱。於現在世增長諸惡,未來世中亦復如是,增長諸惡。復次若有染著此貪欲者,能令眾生盲無慧眼。貪欲因緣能令智慧微弱,損減諸善,不趣涅槃,不得三明及六神通,離菩提道。如貪欲、瞋恚、愚癡亦復如是。我等見斯貪欲、瞋恚、愚癡,有如 己 自 是過患。以是義故,禁斷貪欲、瞋恚、愚癡。
梵志又問:
頗復有道修集增廣,能斷貪欲、瞋恚、愚癡耶?
阿難答言:
有八聖道。所謂正見、正語、正業、正命、正方便、正定、正念、正志能斷貪欲、瞋恚、愚癡,趣向涅槃。
梵志復言:
如斯之道極為甚善,修集增廣,能斷貪欲、瞋恚、愚癡。阿難!當知我今緣務極為猥多,今欲還歸。
阿難告曰:
宜知是時。
梵志聞阿難所說,歡喜而去。
